   you could try ccleaner (download.com). It has a registry cleaner and it is free but this feature is not as good as some of the pay ones but again it is free and safer if you don’t know what you are doing.

   You NEVER want to use a "FREE" registry cleaner!
   Registry First Aid from Rose City Software is the best. I use it all the time and it works great. It’s worth the money.

   You can download it and it will clean the first 100 bad entries free. It will also show you how many bad entries you have.
