   I would recommend CCleaner.

   It depends on what version of Vista you have.

   If it's 32 bit (the normal and most popular version), you'll be best using a tool such as RegCure ( http://www.fastregistryfixes.com/regcure_review.html )

   However, if you're using 64 bit Vista, you'll be best using WiseCleaner ( http://www.wisecleaner.com/download.html )

   If you don't know what version of Vista you have, you've probably got the 32 bit version.

   Cleaning the Window's Registry is definitely highly recommended by anyone who understands computers…

   CCleaner is "okay" but it's free… so how good can it be? It's functionality is quite limited in my opinion…

   If you're willing to pay for it, PCTools' Registry Mechanic is the absolute best. Otherwise, just go to download.com and type in "registry cleaner."

   Ccleaner is /okay./ I use it to clean worthless files, but it's still not as good for cleaning registries as Registry Mechanic. Ccleaner is free, though..
