here is one of the best antivirus software http://www.movieforumonline.com/2007/02/antivirus-security.html
filehippo.com and download.cnet.com both sites provides free download of antivirus and they rank the antivirus depend on their download and customers
I’ve been using the new Microsoft Security Essentials. It’s free, it’s "real time", and it’s very effective. As long as you have an authentic version of Windows installed, the Security Essentials will download and install a just a few minutes. It covers viruses and spyware. If you have Malwarebytes, then your computer is pretty well protected. Good luck!
avast! 5 Internet Security is a best chose.
Real time anti-rootkit protection
Unique "on access" technology checks all kernel-mode drivers that the operating system is loading for signs of rootkit behavior. This enables even unknown rootkits to be detected and stopped before they can do any damage.
Hope be helpful!
I use Avast! 5.0
It’s their latest version, it’s free. You just need to go to their website, download it and they will send you your registration key through an email straight away. It will give you steps on how to enter your registration key and everything. It’s really simple and Avast! has real time shields running as you browse the internet.

i’m using Avast! Free Antivirus 5.0. The new version has been released on their website. It s a freeware. You can register yourself on the avast website to recive the registration key . They provide timely updates (small in size, ie. In kb’s. Which s usefull for people with limited internet plans ). It s fully legal n it generates a virus recovery database to report avast about the new viruses .
To detect n delete malwares on your comp use malware bytes . Another free software . N a powerfull tool to clean your comp of malwares. I use these softwares myself .

As I currently understand it, neither Avast or AVG are "real time." AVG let one through on me just the other day.
Don’t know about M$ either, but was told that Spybot works. Will be using that along with AVG when I get my laptop back on line.
Norton 360
Antivirus.
Check the link for the best free anti viruses. Microsoft Security Essentials is best for the average user. Keeping in mind, that no single anti virus can detect, prevent and remove all of the thousands of malware circulating on the web, so one needs to also scan once each week with Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and Hitman Pro.
Avast is what I use 🙂

You can use SpywareNoMore.
As we all know Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.
SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.
