I have Windows 7 (Ultimate, 64-bit) and I just recently had to use a registry cleaner as well, so I did a lot of research and went through dozens of them. The best ones you can download are definitely CCleaner: http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ and Wise Disk Cleaner: http://download.cnet.com/Wise-Disk-Cleaner-Free/3000-2086_4-10613345.html
Most of the registry cleaners you find online are only trials and will only remove a limited number of problems, but these are both full versions and completely free 8) They’ve received great reviews, and since using them I haven’t had any more problems.
