   get avira anti-vir personal edition it is the best free antivirus and has the best detection rates out of the 3 free av’s avg is 82% avast at 88% and avira anti-vir personal edition at 94% i have used this for a long time and no problems yet.

   the avg is free and it is good

   I use avast available at http://www.avast.com and it has picked up a lot that other Antivirus software has missed. Also it is FREE!!!!

   try the free ones: for example TRENDMICRO anti virus that scan your PC without being installed in your PC

   you can also try AVG, it is free but you need to install this in your PC

   Kaspersky is free for personal use. Is that cheap enough?

   It works well enough.
