Ok, I have some troubles with my computer which is Xp Professional. There are several errors that my registry cleaner had detected so far, but since its a trial version it cannot fix those issues. There are still more than 200 registry errors, many of them are these temporary file shortcuts. Is there a way to get rid of them manually without using a registry cleaner? Its hard to find them on the registry editor.
I have been using CCleaner for some time now. But it cannot detect much of the errors.

allows you to safely clean and repair registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks, also creates a backup copy prior to making any changes.

Unfortunately it is all in Portuguese, but it is a superb registry cleaner and you can use http://translate.google.com to tanslate the help files.
Comodo Registry Cleaner!
I don’t suggest searching for mistakes manually as you might delete something you shouldn’t have and that would make it a bigger mistake. Better use a registry cleaner since before the actual cleaning the program also makes backup files in case you need to undo.
I use System Mechanic which also has a trial version. But instead of limited options, you have all options for a limited period (30 days). Besides cleaning the registry, you can also delete junk files (temporary files) AND there’s a separate function which repairs invalid shortcuts. I think that might help in your case.
I use Registry Repair from Glarysoft…free and does the job. Remember, always be careful with removing entries in the registry without backing it up first.
Glary Utilities, I love it.

I paid $19.95 and I would have paid $50 because it my computer was instantly faster. :S Somethings are worth paying for… mattresses, shoes, toilet paper and registry cleaners. lol
