registry cleaner is the best way to clean up and speed up your pc! http://clean-computer-registry-faster.info
You don’t really need to buy anything. In control panel you will find
all the necessary tools to maintain your computer. You will find the
disk cleanup tool, and the tool to defragment your hard drive.
Restart your computer every few days or so to defrag your ram.
That is basically all you need. If you want to really refine things,
System Mechanic is a good product. You can try it free for 30 days.

Try deleting all your temporary internet files and deleting any programs you don’t use. If you think its a virus maybe, install Avg virus scan and install spybot search and destroy. If its a virus or spyware that will speed things up. They are both free programs.

There is no one product that does everything. In addition to a good antivirus product, I also run Malware Bytes’ Anti-malware to look for malware that gets past my AV, plus Ccleaner to clean up my Windows registry. Both of those are free downloads.
No need to buy anything…
Off-load all your pics, vids, & music to dvds and cds.
Uninstall all those free web browser add-ons
Uninstall all the extraneous programs you got for free like Limewire & such
Delete all your temporary internet files & cookies
Edit your startup files and delete what you don’t need
Run disk cleanup
Reboot and turn off system restore
Update your anti-virus & spyware programs and scan your computer one at a time.
Reboot & Run disk cleanup again
Turn on system restore & create a restore point
Start>right-click on My Computer>Properties>Advanced>Performance Settings>Advanced>Virtual Memory Change>Click Custom & enter 1.5 times your system memory size. For ex, if you have 2Gb RAM, enter 3000 in both blocks, then click Set. OK to close that box, then in the Advanced folder make sure you select "Programs" in both sections.
Reboot & Create a restore point
Run disk defrag.
Suggestion #1 – Update all your drivers starting with the video driver until you no longer have the problem.
Suggestion #2 – Buy The Ultimate Troubleshooter from http://www.answersthatwork.com/ That’s one helpful piece of software. It identifies all the startup programs and services and tells you whether you need it or not.
