   Did you know that Windows has Disk Cleanup?
   It is there for a reason.
   cCleaner works fine and I have used it on rare ocasions.
   There could be other reasons for freezing.
   Too many programs running. You may not know that Windows Live Update is downloading.
   You may not know that your Antivius program is updating definitions or doing a schedualed scan.
   Try clearing cookies (temp internet files)
   Just find out what is going on before you dive in at the deep end with ccleaner

   and its freeeeeeee
   ive used it for 5 years now!!
   no problems yet
   i’ve tried "several" other registry cleaner products butt ccleaner cleans out more than any of them!
   so dude go for it..
   and download from the link in the first answer!
   i had the same problem as yours !
