   I use ccleaner too , But you can also try Registry Defense : http://www.computzone.com/RegistryDefense.html , you can try it for free first. it is one of the best registry cleaners I think .

   The amount of speed you gain by cleaning the registry is less than the blink of an eye. You have another problem. (No program is "better" at cleaning the registry – all of them just delete keys for programs that aren’t on the hard drive.)

   if u have Vista try VistaManger is the best!! it will clean ur registry safely (u can even back it up before doing any cleaning task ) and it has a lot of options like speeding ur pc , deleting unnecessary files and folders , optimizing ur pc performance and a lot more …

   There really is absolutely zero performance to be gained by cleaning your registry.

   CCleaner is used by a lot of people but in terms of performance, it’s not very good. Because it’s free, CCleaner only finds a limited number of errors and does not have a very big impact on your system.

   The best registry cleaner is the tool that can find and fix the largest number of registry errors on your system, and having used a lot of these on our test PC’s, we’ve found that there’s one called "Frontline Registry Cleaner" which works the best.
