I just got new computer and I’m sending my old one to my dad. It doesn’t run terribly, but I know there is a lot on there that is slowing it down.
I’d like to just do system restore and put it back to the way it came, but I can’t find the disk. Any advice would be appreciated!

Assuming you have gotten everything you want off:
1. Delete all files in MyDocuments and any other folders where you saved your stuff (music, pictures, etc.).
2. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall any programs you don’t want to include.
3. Grab the program (free) called Easy Cleaner off the net and run it. Use it to clean the Registry (delete everything it finds), delete all Unnecessary files, Clear IE History, Clear Cookies, Clear IE Files, clear Most Recently Used and Duplicates.
4. Run Antivirus and spyware scans.
5. Run Defrag.
if you don’t want to take any risks, then you should do the following:
1) backup your entire PC
2) re-format it
3) re-install with your OS
