I purchased a Spyware detection software and they offer a Registry cleaner, and it makes sense to get it, but what is the main difference between the two? and will the Registry Cleaner detect a lot more bugs than the "critical registry components" that my spyware already has cleaned up…?

Yes, this is good. After using a registry cleaner you\’re going to need spyware protection to get rid of the main source of registry errors which is… spyware. Just to be on the safe side, run this program after you run your registry cleaner. It will help out immensely preventing future registry errors.< http://pcleaner.info/reg > < http://satellitetves.com/reg >
Well said Pumba!
Registry cleaner just removes unnecessary items in your registry. Usually left over entries from programs that you’ve removed. The purpose of it is to make your operating system faster. A spyware program will detect and (hopefully) remove any malware that gets placed on your machine. This might have a similar side effect of making your machine faster, but its primary purpose is to remove stuff that can potentially steal data, open security holes on your computer, and/or place popups and other bothersome programs on your computer.
