   Widows has also a defrag program. but not a very good one.

   Windoes has also two other possiblities to clean up disk or check the disk for errers

   First checking for errors

   Start – Run – type

   chkdsk /f – or
   chkdsk /r

   ok

   Dos window
   bla bla bla etc
   Y/N

   Y
   enter

   restart windows

   For the first time I would do chkdsk /r

   Start – Run – type
   cleanmgr
   ok

   They are all utilities that specialize in doing a particular task.

   The ones that come with Windows are not always the best at doing the job, so other companies try to create better, faster software to do it.
