   Depends on what "level" you want to work.

   Theoreticians in Software Security do best with a degree in Software Engineering — which is probably better than a degree in Computer Science.

   Experts in tracing identifying and neutralizing virus and malware threats may do best with a degree in Software Engineering Technology. Oregon Institute of Technology has the best degree out there right now, I think.

   At the user level, I believe the best degree in the USA today is San Jose State’s Bachelor’s degree in "Computer Electronics and Network Technology". I think this is better than the common IT degree many workers at the user level have.
