use tune up utilities 2008 to speeding up your computer
download it and use following
name:tuneup
comp:utilities
serial:PDG9R-QMSUP-MNN7U-NWAD1-GVBAA-G9S6Y
go to this blog and follow if your computer runs slow
well it depends….
first try tuneup utilities …it’s very easy to use and has a clean interface..and speeds up the computer
if your computer is still slow..try increasing your ram…i did that and it really helped!
it includes disk defrag and something like ccleaner
so you don’t have to download lots of extra stuff
here is a link to my free online computer help site

http://www.freecomputeradvice.org/speed-up-your-pc.html
run throught the tutorials one at a time
by the time you have finnished the pc should be a lot better
JIGsaw what the hell are you on about saying limewire..????
Do a disk cleanup and a disc defragment. Go start>all programs>accessories>system tools… and then you will find disc cleanup and defragment there. They really help a lot. Make sure you delete your cookies too. If you don’t know how to do that you just open internet explorer or fire fox, w.e. you’re using, click tools>internet options. It shows it in there.
Also having you’re computer set on an older theme like windows classic or standerd, your computer will be faster. You can change this by going in the controll pannel.
Do not trust most programs that say they will "clean" your system…
Uninstall unneeded/unused software, Check HDD for errors, Defrag, and make sure the drivers are up to date. I do a format/reinstall every 2 months, just out of habit. You can also clear the prefetch….
Run disk defragmenter.
Then run an antivirus scan and check for any viruses or malware. If your computer does have a virus, I suggest just re-formatting Windows XP, for using an infected computer WILL cause you problems in the future.
After that download CCleaner and clean out your computer.
Hope this helps!

Microsoft Registry Problems = Slow Computer!
The registry records the relationship between hardware, memory space, and addressing. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, software, users, and preferences of the computer. Whenever you make a change to the Control Panel settings, file associations, system policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the registry. The operating system continually references this information during its operation. you can see What is Registry? http://downloadlk.net/whatisregistry.htm
However, a centralized registry system presents some problems as well. The registry is considered a “single point of failure” – modifications can lead to disrepair. The resulting damage could range from poor performance to not being able to boot up your computer. In these most extreme cases, data could be unrecoverable and a full re-installation of the operating system would be required. You have to re-install your system always. To determine if your system is in fact running slow because of problems in your registry, you will need to run a Registry software such as http://downloadlk.net/themosteffectiveregistrycleaner.htm .This easy to use program will perform a deep scan on your computer and will report back on any issues or problems it finds for you at no charge – which means you can figure out what is wrong.
