If you have another computer available, open a cmd prompt on it and type
ipconfig /all
then write down the information (ip address, subnet mask, and DNS info) then go to your problem computer and open up the network connections>properties and configure a manual address. Use the same info as the working computer in each dialog box except change the last number of the IP address. Ex. change 192.168.1.5 to 192.168.1.6 or whatever number that is not 1 and under 255.
Make sure you enter the correct DNS information!
Then, with the box STILL OPEN open a cmd prompt and type
ipconfig /flushdns
Then hit ok on the NIC properties box and try the internet again
