The problem with slow computers is that most of the time. It’s all to do with a hidden part of your system .This part of your system is called the ‘registry’ and is a huge database which stores all the settings and options for your PC.The reason why the registry is responsible for making your computer run slow is because it is actually prone to getting corrupt and damaged. Because Windows is constantly using the database when you’re using your computer, it’s constantly got 100’s of registry files open. This unfortunately means that Windows gets confused, leading it to save the registry files wrong, making them incredibly difficult for your computer to read. Think of them as files which are all jumbled up, making your computer have to spend longer to read them. You just need to be able to clean out all the damaged files from the registry, allowing Windows to read all the files it needs, when it needs them. And to do this, you just need to use a tool called a ‘registry cleaner’.I should like to commend Registry Easy to you !http://computer-work-smooth.com
Is the problem of virus? Have you scanned and checked your computer?
And as for the shortage of free space, you can also clean registry for purpose. Here is the website recommended for you: http://www.bestregistrycare.com

You need to take three steps to speed up your computer or laptop:
1. Add more RAM
2. Uninstall all software’s that you do not use.
3. Select a good registry cleaner and PC optimizer such as Reginout from Intel Software Directory http://ibx.intel.com/directory/Default.aspx
I am sure these three steps will help you a lot.
Thanks.
hello,
. Free up disk space
Speed up access to data
Protect your computer against spyware
Detect and repair disk errors
Repair rgistry problem,
those are useful tips.
try tool called errorfix to speedup your computer,
http://www.make-pc-faster.com/
here is a simple solution
1- get more ram
2- get, update, and run "advanced system care free" (this is a free easy to use program that will clean and speed up your system) make sure you get the free one, i put the link for it below.
I just copied and pasted this from a saved text file cause I’m getting pretty fed up of typing the same thing over and over again lol.
Get a free version of Tuneup Utilities.
Get it from here…..
http://www.tune-up.com/download/archive/tu2008/
You will need to supply your e-mail address to download it in the first place, but they don’t spam you or anything. You’ll probably just get a couple of e-mails at the most from them.
Then go here….you’ll see why…
http://techravings.info/2009/04/chipde-gives-tuneup-utilities-2008-for-free-as-easter-promotion.html
Then again you might just miss it, so here’s the thing you want from that website
RFEAH-CDXKX-UMFBW-GSCES-YFWCM-WUHWB
Give that a shot, run it and see what it does for you. Before you do anything in running it, make sure you download any updates which may improve it’s functionality. It won’t take up the remainder of your space on your hard drive at all, it’s nowhere near that large a program. If you get this you won’t need to get advancedwindowscare or whatever the heck it is called – and it’ll do all of what the pro version of the windowscare thing does for free!
Follow these steps, verbatim, if you want your PC to perform properly for the rest of the time you own it.
Start your computer in Safe Mode. To do this, turn on your PC, after the boot screen loads, start tapping F8 until a screen appears giving you Startup Options. Choose "Safe Mode." You may be asked to choose an Operating System as well, if there is more than One OS available, choose Windows XP.
When your PC boots into Windows, log in as the Administrator. A box will appear, click Yes to enter the OS in Safe Mode. Click on the Start button, go to Run, type in "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) and hit enter.
A box will appear, click on the "Startup" tab and un-check everything. Click on Apply, then Click on Ok, then Restart your PC.
When your PC restarts it will load the software that it needs to operate properly such as the Video Drivers, Audio Drivers, Ethernet Drivers, etc., but nothing else.
If you are using a Wireless Internet Connection, do not un-check the Wireless Internet Program or your WiFi will not work.
Now you need to download and install some free software and run a lot of scans to fully clean your PC.
Go here http://www.SpywareTerminator.com and download Spyware Terminator.
I have been using this program on every computer I have worked on in the last 2 years and it works every time.
During setup, you will be asked if you want to integrate CLAM Anti Virus into Spyware Terminator, say Yes. You will also be asked if you want to install the Crawler Toolbar, say Yes. The Crawler Toolbar is a filter for your Internet Explorer or FireFox browser and will alert you if you come across a website that is potentially dangerous.
Next, go to https://secure.sophos.com/products/free-… and download Sophos Anti Rootkit. You will have to fill out some information, but this is just for registration purposes. This program is 100% Free.
Next, go to http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Ad… and download Advanced System Care. It is another free program that works very well.
One more thing, go to http://www.wisecleaner.com/download.html and download the Wise Registry Cleaner Free Edition as well as the Wise Disk Cleaner Free Edition.
Run the Spyware Terminator program first and make sure that you run a Full Virus and Spyware Removal scan so the program picks up everything and not just the Spyware files.
Next, run Sophos Anti-Rootkit.
Then run the Wise Disk Clean Up program.
Then run the Wise Registry Cleaner.
After you are done cleaning the Registry, use the Wise Registry Cleaner to Defragment the Registry. After Registry Defragmentation is complete, restart your PC.
When your PC restarts, go to the Start Menu, go to Program, go to Accessories, go to System Tools, go to Disk Clean Up, choose the C: Drive, make sure that the "Compress Old Files" check-box is checked and the "Recycle Bin" is checked.
After Disk Clean Up is done, go back to the System Tools area in the Start Menu and click on Disk Defragmentation. Choose the C: Drive and click on "Defragment."
This is going to take a while, but when you are done, your PC will run almost as good as new and it will have all the software you need to keep it clean for as long as you own it.
After you have done all of this, go to http://www.Crucial.com and let it check your PC. It will tell you how much and what kind of RAM you need. For basic home/office functions I would recommend 1GB.
Add more RAM. If you can, get up to 1 or 2GB. Free up more space on the HDD or get a bigger HDD.
Add more memory, then do a spyware check.
http://www.malwarebytes.org download, install , update and do a full scan
Yes, like you suggested it’s probably because you have too many programs installed. Try uninstalling unused programs, removing old registry, etc..
