Best way to speed up any windows computer is to go to http://www.iobit.com and down load system care 3, the free copy. run maintain windows and then run diagnose system.
Add RAM & download Reginout to improve performance of your system.
First make sure that hardware is not outdated. It should not be very very old or primitive. Second, your system should not be full of viruses and spuwares and then one way to speed up your system is to select a good PC optimizer and System cleaner such as reginout from Intel Software Directory http://software.intel.com/swfinder/productpage/tabid/85/language/en-us/p-4869-reginout-system-utilities.aspx
Computers can become slow for a number of reasons and it’s important to find out what’s the cause. One of the most common causes is viruses and malware. So the first thing you should do when your computer slows down is to run a thorough virus and malware scan with reliable software like Avira Free and Malwarebytes. They will find and delete most infections.
If the antivirus scan comes clean, you should look into your hardware. Computers can slow down when there is insufficient RAM or your hard drive is malfunctioning. Check if RAM can be increased and run the Chkdsk utility (right-click on the hard drive – go to properties – Service tab – run Check Disk).
Lack of cleanup and maintenance can also make your computer a lot slower. To make it fast again you’ll need to remove junk files (like temp files, browser cache, etc.), uninstall software you never use, sort through your startup entries and disable stuff like Windows Live Messenger – you don’t need it to load on startup and hog your system! Then clean the registry and defrag your hard drives. All this should speed up your system. There is a really good program called BoostSpeed that can do it all and more, like optimize your Internet connection settings for your hardware, shred files, tweak Windows settings.
Firstly get rid of unwanted programs if you click on one some may say repair get rid of them there just a waste of space
Keep anything made by Microsoft as well as anything with Realtek in it that’s very important.
Now the first way you can clean up your computer is by.
1. Go to start
2. Click on Computer
3. Left click on your Hard Disk
4. Click on properties
It will show you how much space you have and you will also see a button "Disk Cleanup" Click on that.
5. When that’s done click on the next tab on properties you will see "Error checking" and also "Disk Defragmenter" first do the Disk Defragmenter then use Error checking.
You may have to Schedule the disk check do that then reset your computer.
Also downloading a program like AVG will help you a long way hope this helps.
"Crap Cleaner" sounds like defragmentation software, which won’t delete your files. It can speed up hard-drive access speeds. Also bear in mind that slow hard-drive access speeds can be a sign of imminent drive failure, which can potentially wipe the drive (although that’s not likely and you can often recover the files, it’s better to be safe than sorry and back stuff up to another drive or an online server).
Increasing the amount of RAM allows you to have more programs open, or to give your existing programs more "room to breathe" as it were. It won’t increase the performance (unless you get RAM with a higher clock rate (the Hertz frequency) or bandwidth (Gigabytes per second) than you currently have).
The main thing for speed when performing typical desktop tasks is to have a good processor, since this performs many of the computer’s operations. You might want to go for a processor with more cores than the one you have, since this allows for more mathematical operations to completed per second (as each core can perform its own operations simultaneously). However, not all programs make use of that.
Check out your motherboard before you buy a processor, since the socket might be different, leading to incompatibility which would mean you’d have to buy a new board.
To speed up your computer you can try to uninstall all programs you are not using from the control panel.
start
control panel
add remove programs
scroll down find program
uninstall
You can run a scan disk check and remove all old info
start
accessories
system tools
disk clean up
You can defragment your computer
start
accessors
system tools
defragment
You can clean your internet cache
Options or tools
privacy tap or Under the hood on Chrome..
Clear Browsing data
Run a virus scan to make sure there are not any conflicts
If all else fails you can upgrade the memory.
Good Luck !
And run a virus scanner.
delete any programs you don’t use and get a ram with more memory
Get rid of any unnecessary programs that launch when your computer boots. You don’t have to uninstall them just take them out of the startup which is in the registry. Just go to start –> run –> type msconfig and hit enter –> click on startup tab and uncheck anything you don’t need at boot time. You can still launch these programs later manually but are taking up memory on boot when you don’t need them until you are ready to use them. You will want to leave your virus protection on boot, etc.
Keep your computer defragged and run the windows disk cleanup utility. These are all under the start –> programs –> accessories –> system tools tab.
Windows can also become slow due to a cluttered profile. You can always create another profile if you know how and move any of the other personal files you have on your desktop or under my documents to your new profile.
Most of the crap cleaners are exactly that crap.
