Good luck!
i would like to share what i do to speed up my PC:
1. i never get update from microsoft.
2. i make a folder in desktop and put all shorcut in a folder (maximizing start up)
3. never install software i don’t really need(after install there will be some cluster and unneeded files)
4. disk defragmenter.
5.torrent may slow up your computer.
Of course vista is great. But im still think win XP the beat because it not burden CPU usage with interface. minimum requirement for vista is 2GB ram, and thats is minimum.
what may slow up computer.
1. many programme running in your computer(you can see in the right corner of your task bar)
2.Anti virus program such as spy ware doctor, Norton and MCafee.
3. too many shortcut in the desktop.
4.virus(i suggest use avast and portable antivirus)
5.your computer too hot.
6. having software which have compatiblelity issues with vista.
but all of this i think there are too many program running and torrent might cause up to 86000 cpu usage.
i have write suggestion to speed up your computer at my blog, if you interested here the link: http://pro-tech-riviews.blogspot.com/2008/03/power-up-computer-and-internet.html
Porn or no porn, a lot of torrents are infected with viruses. You need to do a complete virus, spyware, and adware scan. Also while the torrent is downloading it will slow down your computer. Also, vista uses a lot of memory unnecessarily which is part of the reason that I hate it. I’m really not looking forward to buying a new computer that will come preloaded with vista. When I do have to get a new one, I’ll probably just go ahead and buy an XP disk to install instead of Vista. Then again, maybe by that time there’ll be another Windows out that is better. Think Windows Me then XP.
you just said you have "lots of stuff" in your computer, that’s what slows it down.
I have vista. I have been using torrent peer-to-peer
you gave yourself two answers right there
try pressing start– in the search bar at the bottom type msconfig. when the screen opens there will be a tab that says startup. remove almost eveything from that list except for any antivirus software or anything that looks like it shoulld startup. you will not mess up your computer you can always go back and check them again. hit ok and restart.
