Well i do small software related repairs to friends of mine. usually i just re-load windows over again it fixes most problems and recently i’ve been usisng the geek squad mri disc for repairs as well but what software do most of you computer techs use?

they do get s/w from the pc makers to test the hardware
which is what they should use but to be honest running games does a good test of memory cpu & hard drive
most problems are S/W corruption so deleting it all and then reloading it does the job, ( then they complain because they had not backed it up :o)
