My computers not all that old its like 6 months if that i dont have all that much installed on it but yet its still running slow expecually my internet we have high speed(Road Runner) I run defrag and disk clean alot to keep it up but its just not enought anyone got any ideas? Im not looking to speed money so free would be nice if i have to i will buy something.

Make sure you don’t have to many "little" programs running in the background. You can check that with the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt+ Delete. Try to deinstall programs you don’t really need. Otherwise you could buy more RAM to speed up your computer. I hope this helps.
theres really nothing that software can do to help, what you need is a RAM upgrade or a better processor. i know you said that your computer is fairly new, but hey, it happens! i have the same problem sometimes. my processor runs at 1.80GHz and i have 256MB of RAM and it runs decent for browsing and such.
upgrade you processor add extra memory, try checking the connection from your hardisk to your motherboard,
hi try tune-up utilities .com i know i tend to harp on about this but it really is a good program and will optomise your pc to perform at the best of its abilities oh and download free ram xp pro this will free up the page you are using and slow down stuff thats in the background also in tune up you can go to start up and see all the progs that boot up when you turn on your pc the likes of messenger etc and printers quick time etc etc you can then disable these from starting up when you boot your pc and if you need the program just click on it manually this should help i do hope so let me know ok
