   Well I agree with both answers above.
   Some of my favorite deck brands in random order(notice, some of them are expensive, but then again it might be good to have nice first ”deck exprience”):

   Habitat
   Element Skateboards
   Reinbe
   Birdhouse
   Almost
   Plan B Skateboards

   Dude ok for your first board don’t buy the best brand i bought a cheap one for my first board 5 bearings or something it is react now from kickfliping, trefliping etc. i got my first board when i was 6 years old im 13 now and have quite a selection of boards most of them have alot of damage.
   i would start with spending 20-40 dollars or euro first then when you get the basics down such as standing while moving, ollie, pop-shov its, casper, kickflip etc. then you wanna spend 40-150 on a new board. brands you might like are-flip, birdhouse,element,Santa Cruz, renner, world industries, alien workshop, enuff, angel boy, voltage.just to name a few.

   A lot blanks are just as good as pro boards, but you’re taking a risk sometimes because since its a blank you dont know which distributor made it so you might get a good board or a bad one, its kinda all up to chance. You should know all the parts of a skateboard and what they do and the right size deck for you, thats pretty much it. The best brands for decks are Mystery, Zero, Deathwish, Baker, Flip, Almost, and Enjoi, the best brands for trucks are Independent and Thunder, the best brands for wheels are Ricta, Spitfire, and Bones, and the best brand for bearings are Bones. If i were you to start out I’d get a cheaper board, maybe a complete board that comes with all the parts, just because you’re gunna be beating it up since your’re learning. But if you wanna get a top of the line board and assemble yourself, it wont hurt you either. After you get the basics then you could invest in a good board, if you really want to. Sometimes its not a smart idea to buy an expensive skateboard at first because you might find out skateboarding isnt for you, and you’ll wind up probably just letting in sit in your garage forever or something like that. But yep thats all ya need to know 🙂 haha
