Nope. There is a Mac version of symantec and norton, but they still do not work. I’ve been dealing the IMCOM guys in DA (Army) for two years trying to get it resolved. In The meantime I have been using ClamXav. I’ve tried about everything out there that is free for Mac and this is one of the better Freeware programs out there. Go to ClamXav.com and download it. It’s very simple to use. Also, try Firefox as your browser and enjoy the awesome tweaks on that on as well.
You can not just simple install Windows Norton On A Mac, you have to buy the Mac version.
And I’m not aware of any free protection for a mac.
you would have to buy the Mac version of Norton
http://www.symantec.com/norton/macintosh/antivirus
or you could try iantivirus which is free from PC Tools (makers of Spyware Doctor)

or
http://www.clamxav.com/
So you donwloaded it online? You could just copy the norton file from you Hardrive and paste it into a USB flash drive and put it on the other computer and install the file.
to tell the truth I would not buy an antiviral software, my sister has a macbook pro and so far she does not have any problem, I would say 90% or so of the viruses out there are for microsoft OS making it only 10% for macs and linux OS, just be safe on the internet, have you firewall up and you should be fine
