As you increase the amount of information on your hard drive, your computer slows down. As your computer hard drive gets ‘dirty’ it slows down. If it picks up malware that tracks what you do, it slows down. If you pick up a virus, it will slow down. Myspace stuff? Don’t know.. it depends on what you have.
Do this to partially clean your computer up, but do it when you can walk away from the computer for an extended period of time. An hour.. two.
Open the Start tab and go to All Programs.
Go to the top of that mini window and open Accessories.
Go down in the Accessories min window and click on System Tools.
In System Tools, open Disk Cleanup.
It will ask you to select the drives you wish to clean up. Select C.
When that program has looked at your whole hard drive and picked out the ugly stuff that is dirt, it will ask you if you want to delete the information. Make sure all the boxes on your C drive are checked, and then say OK. At that point, if you can leave it alone for an hour, it would be good. When it is finished, click out of the program and restart your computer.
Maybe coz u download stuff too much and they take too much loading from your computer .You should delete it in your whole computer which is in your "Start "Folder . Also becareful , if your computer take too much memory , it would bomb . Try using the computer "Dell " it would be much better!
P.S Laptops are quicker!
first u need to check virus.second remove temp files start>>run>> %temp% >>ok. remove all files from this folder. now u need to check the DMA. Right click on My Computer>properties>>hardware>>device manager. in the device manager u see IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLERS. click on + sigh. u see primery and secondary ide channal. just double click on primery ide channal. in the sub menu go to advance settings. setting sould be in transfer mode–DMA if available. and in current transfer mode–Ultra DMA Mode 5 for hard disk and Ultra DMA mode 2 for CD-ROM. if u see here the PIO mode then u have to remove both primery and secondary ide channal and restart ur pc. after restart check the above setting. u find the DMA 5 and 2. now ur pc running fast.
u can also increase the virual memory. min 1000 and max 1800.
