   Avast or AVG, though sometimes there are problems with downloading AVG.
   You have to go to another site to download sometimes.

   For viruses, Avast! is my favorite, AVG comes second, and then last is ClamWin.

   For spyware, my favorite is Spybot, but I use Ad-Aware too.

   Download avg free but before you run the scan you need to turn off system restore or the viruses will just keep coming back right click my computer then click properties click the tab that says system restore then turn it off and restart your computer and run the scans

   here are a list of anti-virus and anti-spyware i use on my computer(and there all free)
   AVG free
   Spybot – Search & Destroy
   Windows Defender

   NONE are THE best! You should run scans with more than one program as no one program can keep their virus database up to date. These are free:
