Ive been having problems with my computer and long story short, the only thing i think will solve the problem is completely erasing my entire OS and everything off my hard drive. What is the best way to do this without logging in to an account (part of the problem is not being able to log in period.) I use Windows XP.

you might need to take the hard drive out and put it inot a different computer and wipe it there… but you should leave that for a techy to do.
if it was that bad then i would take it to a technician or whatever they’re called and have them look at it. a new hard drive would be good but you wouldn’t have your files anymore
Replace the hard drive with a brand new one would be your most effective solution, though may not be the most efficient.
However, hard drives nowadays are really inexpensive.
BUY A NEW PC…
You can reinstall your OS using the disk that was provided when you bought the computer. I’m going to do this to my own computer soon, but it’s extremely important to copy everything that you might need such as documents, photos, favorites/bookmarks, whatever.
You will need your install CD.
You will put the CD in, restart your computer and restore you OS from there.
