Virtual memory = Hard disk memory use by PC as RAM
virtual memory is NON physical RAM which is no ur hard disk.

right click on my computer, then choose properties, then choose advanced tab, then choose performance, now choose the second tab, here, the last option is to change VM
The RAM chips on your computer’s motherboard are your system’s memory. Virtual memory is space on your hard drive that Windows uses for the same thing as regular RAM. It stores data there when it needs to for quick access to it. (This is an over-simplified version of the facts, but it’s good enough for our purposes.) If you right-click on "My Computer", you will see a menu option at the bottom that says "Properties". In one of the tabs you will find a button that will open another dialog where you can change your virtual memory. (It may call it your "Page File", don’t worry, it’s the same thing.) Most people recommend going 1.5 – 2 times the size of your physical memory. For example, I have 2 GB RAM, so I have a 4 GB page file. Some consider this excessive, so it’s up to you. I would recommend that you defragment your hard drive before you do this.
memory is hardware in the PC, virtuall memory is Hard drive space used as memory. usually virtuall memory is about 1.5 times physical memory unless you manually change it. You can buy physical memory from a PC store, virtual memory you can adjust if you have enough hard drive space
Memory is your the RAM you have installed in your computer. Virtual memory is space used from your hard drive to act sort of like more RAM.
To increase your virtual memory right-click on "My Computers" > "Properties…" > go to "Advanced" tab > under "Performance" click on "Settings". Another window will pop up. In this window go to "Advanced" tab and under "Virtual Memory" you should be able to see the amount of virtual memory you have. If you want to change it click on the button "change", then click on which hard drive you want to change the virtual memory. After you have done this, you can specify the minimum and the maximum virtual memory you want to have in the hard drive you have chosen.
Keep in mind that the amount of virtual memory you have will depend on how much RAM you have installed. If you have, say, 4GB of RAM it is unlikely that you will add 6GB just for virtual memory. But if you have 512 of RAM it is reasonable to have 1.5x of that amount as your virtual memory
