You were just fooled into downloading more malware, and ensuring that your computer is infected!
You can run antivirus and antispyware programs, but the sad fact is if you have found one virus on your computer, you probably have several. Cleaning the computer now requires you to follow these steps, because modern viruses and spyware entrench themselves in files that your computer needs in order to run:
1. Virus-check your data files (not application files– you have installer CDs for those).
2. Back up the data files, getting them off your hard drive.
3. Get your original operating system CDs that came with your computer.
4. Boot your computer from the operating system CD.
5. Select the option that erases your hard drive and then reinstall your system software.
6. Turn on your software firewall that came with your operating system.
7. Reconnect to the internet, and download *all* Windows updates, no matter how long it takes.
8. Reinstall your application software, and update the applications as much as you can.
9. Reinstall your data files.
10. Create a limited user account on your system that does *not* have administrator access, and web surf only from this account.
Yes, this is a pain in the butt. No, there is no other way. No, antivirus and antispyware programs cannot fix this problem on its own.
So, what do you do in the future?
1. Never click on links you find in an e-mail.
2. Never open an e-mail attachment, ever.
3. Only download files from a reputable website that you know is on the up-and-up.
4. Never use bit-torrent and other file-sharing programs.
5. Never use an unsolicited drive-checking site.
6. Turn off all java and java scripting by default, and only enable java and java scripting for sites that you know you can trust.
7. Never read an unsolicited e-mail, and delete spam immediately. It is possible to be hacked by reading an e-mail alone.
Please adhere to the ‘dont’s’ I provided above, because you will have to repeat the cleaning steps that I listed first *every time you get infected.* Anti-spyware and anti-virus programs are good to have, but they are a second line of defense. The best way to protect your system is you, and changing your behavior.
Good luck!
First, contact your bank and see if they did not overcharge, as Antivirus pro virus protector is a scam. It does not detect or clean real viruses, even those that installed it in first place.
I would recommend using spyware doctor to clean up PC from traces of it or use manual instructions: http://www.2-viruses.com/remove-antivirus-pro-2009
Antivirus pro virus is you your infection. You do not have the viruses it said you have. That was a trick to get your money.
This is in your task manager.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com click spyware removal
then type in windows antivirus pro this will tell you about it.
If you can get your task manager to come up-
CTRL+ALT+Del
look at list
to see windows antivirus pro.exe and left click once so it will hightlight.
Then click end process.
Then find svchast.exe be sure it is the one with the a
end process.
Or you can install an antivirus cd that you buy.
If you can get to this-
http://download.cnet.com
there are some free ones.
there is a free malwarebytes
You can run this in safe mode.
Malwarebytes is a malware remover, You will need an antivirus to go with it and a firewall.
What you have purchased is a fake,a rogue program that it gives fals infections untill you buy it and now you can’t even use your computer. You need to get rid of it very fast. Here’s how:First you need to stopt the program’s running services in order to be able to remove it for good.Stop anti virus pro running processes:right-click on your taskbar, open task manager,in the process explorer window under running processes tab find av2009.exe <<–
av2009[1].exe
AV2009Install.exe
Antivirus2009.exe
utynewu.exe
install.exe
brastk.exe
Home Antivirus 2009.exe highlight one by one and kill/end process. After every step process explorer will ask you to confirm the action, click yes/ok for each one then after all processes were stopped close the window. Then install this http://www.malwarebytes.org/StartUpLite.exe it is FREE ,install, update and do quick scan. This tool will remove the rest of the rogue anti virus from your omputer. Then install new anti virus choose from these two FREE AV avast home http://www.avast.com or avira personal http://www.free-av.com both FREE and good programs.Good luck!
Anti virus programs are good at preventing entry of unwanted "pathogens" to your computer so to speak. Please understand, however, that some programs are made to access personal info or report threats that aren’t really there in the hopes that you will purchase or subscribe to their software. Anti-virus programs will not tell you about threats already on your computer most of the time, unless they are "sweeper" or "scanner" programs as well as prevention programs. Make sure your program is legit. I personally use Avira anti virus software ( http://www.avira.com ), which is available as a free download and will keep viruses and spyware out, as well as scanning my computer for threats.
LMAO you just got scammed you better uninstall that program thats a FAKE antivirus program that you bought from some creepy old pervert that lives in CANADA lol
install AVG, AVAST or AVIRA antivirus and then run a full system scan
also download Malware bytes antimalware to check for spyware on your computer
oh and btw if you used a credit card or ATM to pay for it you better get that canceled right away ! ASAP !
also
viruses and spyware are 2 different things !
LOL. Antivirus Pro Virus Protector is a HOAX. It’s a rogue anti virus, which was made by hackers to steal your money and even more badly, gain access to your system.
Uninstall it, get a free, legit Anti Virus (such as Avast, AVG). Next time, don’t even consider buying an antivirus if you haven’t seen them in computer magazine ads.
You purchased a rogue antivirus program ( Trojan )~8
