ill better give u a IDEA what is the BEST antivirus PROTECTION….
check my source pls…..it will help u to decide….
STAY AWAY from Norton. Norton and McAfee are the biggest targets by the hackers writing the viruses. Comodo is the best free one in my opinion. AVG and Avast are pretty good too. They all have their flaws but hackers know that most people use Norton or McAfee so that is where they look for the vulnerabilities to exploit. Why pay for software that’s like putting a target on your computer when there are free alternatives that aren’t targeted nearly as bad?
Sames goes for IE. Sure, there are viruses that affect both IE and Firefox, but you won’t have nearly as many to worry about with Firefox.
Good luck! And if you aren’t running any antivirus now, don’t go to any sites from clicking links. Type it in the URL and stay with safe, reputable sites. I wouldn’t do anything except go to windows update and wherever you are going to download your antivirus.
Avast !
very good and free
norton is the best to my understanding
i recommend Norton internet security 2009. Its very strong and light on resources.
if you’re looking for some awesome free software to protect you and tune up your computer go to this site
http://www.techsupportalert.com/pc-tools.html
it has the best free programs the web has to offer.
peace
For free downloads, I would suggest http://www.avg.com. It’s an easy download and good program for virus protection.
Adaware and Spybot would also be on my top five.
I can give you the top ones for paid version. The paid version always offer more protection. But you can get good protection from a few free programs.
Top in detection is Avira AntiVir Premium, and then Norton. Avira had
less than one per cent higher detection than Norton. Avast Pro was also very high detection rate.
If you want full protection with firewall, and other things top dog this year is Norton Internet Security 2009 Next you can’t go wrong with Kaspersky Internet Security. If you want a free Internet Security Suite the Comodo Internet Security is out. But it is new and has not been tested by any of the big testing labs. With any of these you should add SuperAntiSpyware free, leave it off and use it as a on demand scanner.
Best free, all round you only have two good choices that is Avast and Avira. Avira does not have anti-spyware, but will catch most threats. Many users will tell you how good AVG is . Well even the AVG web site states that AVG free is only basic protection. When you read the list of things its lacking its no wonder that so many AVG users get infected. What ever you do its not a bad idea to get Mcafee site advsior. Then if you want to take it to the never get infected again level. Just check out Sandboxie. Which runs your browser in a sandbox. When your done surfing the internet and close your browser everything that you did is deleted from your hard drive. Making it impossible for malware to install on your computer.
