Clean Registry and Optimize PC
You can do one of two options:
1. You could reboot the pc and attempt to do a System restore by pressing, I believe F8 or F10. Select System restore and reconfig the computer to a date before you had this issue.
2. You can click on My Computer> Tools> Folder Options> click on the File Types tab up near the top. From there you should be able to see the file association for each program. For example, to open up Notepad, u have to associate it with a TXT file. Go down the list search for TXT and make sure at the bottom where it says " Opens with:" it says Notepad.
