Why do I keep getting "page not available" "internet explorer cannot display the webpage" for some sites only?

It is painfully clear that you have listened to too many of the people on here giving bad advice… such as encouraging ou to use freeware for your security an convincing you to believe the myth’s about firefox being safer. guess what…
I strongly recommend you invest in a proper security suite that includes antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc… from a reliable vendor like mcafee or norton.. an get rid of that crapware on your computer.
No, you should not try any registry cleaning software. All registry cleaners o is attempt to strip out old leftovers from programs… these things are causing no harm, and can do major damage if in the wrong hands. Even I would never use one of those.. I would edit by hand if something truly needed it which it maybe once every couple years may (and that includes ALL of my computers).
You would be better off either hitting add/remove on firefox and performing a repair, installing it completely, or simply getting rid of it and going back to IE. Its bad enough you’re on AOL…
Get yourself a reliable and qualified tech to fix your computer… you are not a tech.
Good Luck
Well I know when I got a new internet provider I couldn’t get onto a few sites, so I called them, and then they restarted my internet and now everything works okay…so maybe you should disconnect and then reconnect your internet…and then if that doesn’t work…you might think about calling your internet provider
From CNet, I downloaded ccleaner and it helped remove lots of fragmented files and registries. Might help you.
