   ok you have two browsers on your pc, practically identical programs, and I bet you haven’t made one of then your default browser, so you have conflict, which browser to use? You have to have a default browser. you said you had IE, then downloaded firefox, did you watch the install? Where did firefox get it’s settings from, if you weren’t watching it got them from IE. By the sounds of it you not happy with firefox anyway so why not delete it?

   Is it a HP printer. HP has a lot of background looking at every web page etc…. Go into msconfig and under the start up tab uncheck all HP. I was having prob’s. until I got rid of all the HP background prog’s.
   The HP tools are still available in the programs just don’t need them running all the time.
