   I would strongly suggest upgrading the ram to at least 2Gigs.
   You should also check for viruses on your computer. And the viruses may be coming from the game. Stop playing it for about 2 weeks and see if it makes any difference

   I have a good laptop, with 2 gb of ram, and I still have game programs that will lock up my computer. Not sure why, but, they just do.. try upgrading your ram and see if that helps.. otherwise, also check your video requirements, as well as what the game wants you to have in that regard.

   Don’t play Maple Story.

   You might also see if you can play it in one of the other emulations of other Windows. Select the icon and right click fr the properties. There should be a compatablitly tab that will allow you to select other WIndows OS’s that it can play under. May have to play with the color scheme as well.

   upgrade the ram for number one. when you have done this defragg your harddrive and update your windows as far as possible then update any patches for your game. click me for best answer

   How long has this problem been going on? 512 MB of RAM is probably what the computer came with. Try more RAM 1 Gig would make a huge difference in performance.
