I once got a virus by connecting my phone to a computer via usb
I could tell it was a virus because my phone started acting funny like creating strange folders and I lost all my contacts and files
I didn’t get an antivirus for it though but formatting the phone solved the problem
You can get an anti-virus for your cell phone. But the reason why most people don’t is that there are so many different type of Firmwares on the phone (Similar to an OS) that a website would be wasting it’s time bothering to create a virus for every phone, if you think about it, there’s Symbian, Andriod, Apple… And then the sad soul that manages to put a virus on the phone wouldn’t know what to do next, seeing as not every person is stupid enough to do their internet banking on a 1" screen. It’s just not logical.
cause there ain’t no viruses 4 phones
viruses r made for specific systems like there’s windows viruses and mac viruses
windows viruses wont work on macs an visa-versa so none of those viruses can get phones cause they function diff from comps
Because people don’t really create viruses for cell phones. Most viruses are aimed at Microsoft computers for whatever reason. Even Mac computers are FAR less vulnerable than PC’s. Viruses only work for the system it is created to work with. There are no universal viruses.
Think of viruses as the viruses people get. Most often when a person gets sick, the virus will not spread to that person’s pet dog, and when the dog gets sick, it won’t affect the person. The viruses only work with what they are compatible with.
Too many different types and operating systems. Not enough market for viruses creators to focus on.
There are indeed phone viruses and anti-virus software for phones. Smartphones like Symbian OS and iPhone have a market for this software, check the manufacturer’s website, or Google anti-virus software for your phone.
