Are you trying to delete that key in your registry? And why? The key "HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap" is a key used by Windows, telling it about the driver to use. It may also store information about your hardware so that various parts of Windows (as well as installed software) can easily access it. The "scsi" subkey specifies the scsi devices on your system (possibly hard drive or cdrom, if they are scsi).
The reason why it keeps coming back is because it is updated at boot to reflect your actual hardware configuration. It’s actually a good thing — if you were to somehow permanently delete it some of your devices (cdroms and possibly hard drives) would not work.
Turn System Restore back on, it will let you restore your computer’s configuration in the event that you accidentally messed something up.
