   Well you’re going to get two answers here.

   Most people will tell you to use the free cleaner "CCleaner" which u can get from http://www.ccleaner.com – but this is BAD because it just tries to find as many problems as possible to make itself look good (why else would it be free)?

   You need to be careful with the regsitry because it’s a crucial part of your system. If you screw up one of the important files inside it, you’re going to have BIG problems down the line… so you need to be sure the registry cleaner you use will be as "delicate" as possible with your PC.

   there is no such thing as a free registry cleaner,

   making softwares cost money, and usually a lot of it.

   so even if they give you some basic functional software for free, advanced functions always cost money.

   as for the freewares , they are usually made by college students who are learning and programming in their free time.

   they dont’ have the experience or the dedication or the resources to make them as good as commercial softwares.

   You can pay for the pro version, but you never have to.

   There’s also CCleaner.
