   In the “Advanced” tab of system properties, you can adjust the visual effects in the settings. Here, you can choose to adjust best performance or appearance based on your computer configuration. If the hardware configuration is rather shabby, it is better for you to choose best performance so as to run system smoothly. But if you have supreme configuration, well, you feel free to open all the Windows XP visual effects and to enjoy it.

   In the “Advanced Options”, you can set to optimize processor and memory preferentially. And when running applications, the system can put memory and CPU ahead of programs which are good for speeding up computer.

   If your virus/spyware free, there are a couple things you can do get your computer working faster. If you using your computer for normal stuff and not gaming. You don’t always need more RAM you just need to perform a few maintenance task.

   First, if you haven’t cleaned your registry in a while. This is necessary. Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC’s resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed. Do a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.

   2. Clear your Windows cache files, this is your temporary file. It can grow up to a large volume and stop your computer from using RAM properly. In a sense slow it down by preventing it from using free space.Here is how:

   ha ha i have the same computer and used to have the same problem. This cp is really really slow but i found out i had more than 100 downloads! i had to delete all the ones i didn’t need and also ur mail effects this too make sure you delete all the mails that you have replied or forwarded.and make sure you don’t have too many window tabs on loll just some few pointers. but to tell you the truth i tried it all i did get some progress but it wasn’t perfect yet i asked a computer guy to fix it n u=he told me all the steps which is just clear everything literally! i deleted pictures of celebrities i had only kept pictures of me….loll i stopped downloading too many downloads and always Always pick download and save not download and install! it really helps. but if your still having problems a computer expert is a real help!
