Okay well If you go to the start button and click and find RUN click that. This will pop up a little box where you can type. It this box type Msconfig . Now a new box will open with many tabs on the top. Find the tab that says startup. Click it. Now a list of your programs that are running on your computer should be on the screen. These are what are using up all of your RAM. Find the ones you dont need to be running every time you start your computer. Uncheck these and click apply. Now you restart your computer and you will have fresh unused RAM. It should run faster if you turn off uneeded programs at the startup.
I would suggest to try to clean it up with malwarebytes, there is a small tutorial on how to use it at
http://www.elamigosam.com under Computer Software Tutorials
check it out and see if it helps.
I would recommend to do the scan while is safe mode, pressing F8 key before windows logo appears at start up.
download CCleaner…its free.
if that dont work. back up your things on disc or what ever…
then clear your harddrive…(re-install O/S)
too much porn
Try loading in safe mode first (google it if you don’t know how).
If it runs slow in safe mode, you’ve got a problem with your hardware. But if it runs okay in safemode, it’s a software problem.
If it’s a hardware issue then you need to get a tech guy to look at it. Whereas a software issue can be dealt with in several ways.
You mentioned you cleaned the registry and got rid of viruses. Try using this tool – "Frontline Registry Cleaner" (http://www.fastregistryfixes.com/frontline_registry_cleaner_review.html ) because it will remove JUNK FILES as well. These are the temp Internet files which often slow computers down and yes… that includes any porno flicks you might have just opened without saving to your PC 😉
You could also try a system restore, but I’m not sure whether Vista still supports that as well as the likes of XP. If all else fails, then just try to repair your system with the install disk.
