The one thing nobody has addressed is how much crap is in your startup group. This stuff starts running at bootup and uses resources. My favorite way to deal with this is using WinPatrol. The startup tab will let you know what’s running and gives you the ability to disable it.
You will come across programs that you can’t comprehend their function. Google the name of the program and see what others say. There is no reason that Acrobat Reader or your HP printer needs to be in the startup group.
Also, approx 30% of your HD should be free space.
you need way more ram you should have around 3 to 4 gbs of ram not just 1 gb of ram like you have. You should only be running windows xp on that computer I really have no idea how it installed it on that piece of junk.
your PC looks quite hi-spec but a little low on RAM i think this can be the only reason for your PC running slow, with 1024 MB you can get up to 8GB now, try updating your RAM to about 3 GB then is should be lightening quick.
