   Click on the box that says "one or more items need attention"

   It could be simply that your virus protection needs updating.
   Downloading the program probably won’t give you the latest Anti-virus updates. The program should tell you what items need attention.

   It is possible that this is caused by a virus. However, it is more likely that something went wrong durring the installation, you need to update something, you need to renew a subscription, ect. Just open up your Anti-Virus and see what it is trying to tell you. If you suspect you have a virus, and you can not get your security software to scan your computer, try using a boot disk or rescue disk. Normally it comes with your Anti-Virus software.

   I would also get the McAfee Site Advisor,because it warns users when downloading software or filling out forms on a web site that may make them victims of malware or spam.

   Not all virus programs can catch every single virus, try another program, also make sure your virus definition files are up to date
