but u should format all the hard disks, files, folders,n u’r entire computer before reinstalling.
Reinstalling WinXP will completely wipe clean you Hard Drive. Nothing (including Viruses) will survive. Note that all programs, drivers, games, pictures, file, document, etc will also be removed. So if you have any personal items, you need to save them first.
I recommend that you review your PC before you start. Know all the hardware installed. Know where to get all the drivers for the hardware. Make sure you have your WinXP product Key (COA). A little planning will go a long way when you start the reinstall.
if you just re-install windows then yes but if you format and re-install windows then no.but be aware that if you use usb pens and stuff then they will to have to be cleaned as they too will be likely to be infected and re-infect the pc.
The viruses will be gone. It will be clean.
The answer is yes and no. It really depends on what you do when you boot off of the windows disk. If you just repair or upgrade, then nothing gets removed. If you do a complete reinstall to include formatting the HD, then nothing gets kept. If you have just a restore disk from the manufacturer, then your pc will get reset to the factory installed default based off of the image on the cd. Good luck.
