Why you reinstalling your windows to clean your RAM, there ‘s many program that will help you clean your PC RAM, such us windows advance cleaner, it will help you clean your RAM when you need it, beside that RAM is a memory that only store the program that is ready to handle by processor, so thats why when you turn off your computer, all the program stored in your RAM will reset, it’s called volitile memory, which is able to store when there’s electricity current, so you don’t have to reinstall you windows right to clean your RAM, you can restart your computer or using application to clean your RAM.
James you need to add more ram.
Go to Start, then run, type msconfig and go to Startup files
and turn off all the running files except you antivirus program
These running programs are the HOG of the Windows OS
no just restart your computer man
then go to control panel, system, open drive clean out, that should do it and do that for the os drive and the other one ( recycling bin one lol )
if your really looking to speed up your comp run linux as the second operating system just for your mom this will be extremly quick if theres only a few things she needs the comp for.
hope this helps!

P.S don’t forget to save all your files on your email or on a USB before formating. You will also need Microsoft office to re install the All theoffice progrm
reinstalling xp will make your whole computer faster
Restarting the computer cleans the RAM.
Reinstalling XP cleans everything that may be slowing the computer down.
No.
Best but is to use Start->Run>Msconfig.exe and disable non-Microsoft services (except virus scanner, critical hardware drivers from printer, etc).
Also clean out the browser cache and delete all items in c:\windows\temp.
