I recently cleaned my registry using "TweakNow" and now Windows Vista Security is not detecting McAfee. Everything is functioning as normal, but the little red icon in my taskbar reminding me that I somehow lack a virus scanner is annoying me. Any suggestions? I tried restoring the things TweakNow removed, but Vista still isn’t detecting McAfee.

Get rid of McAfee. It’s a bulky program that eats your memory. Look for AVG or Nod 32. That’s what the geeks at our Micro Center are using. After removing McAfee still search for remnants that are scattered all over you files. Somehow, with Vista and McAfee (or Norton), the honeymoon is over.
