   The easiest way to do it would be to borrow a Vista installation disk from someone and follow the repair directions. You might have to run it more than once because the disk can only repair one thing at a time.

   Do not run the installation. You want to repair the boot. IF YOU RUN THE INSTALLATION YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR FILES.

   I think it is not easy for you to recover your system as i’ve met the similar incident before, you may try to call HP customer service as they should get the windows cd to help you out~~ you may not have to reinstall your system
