Hi, I have Windows Vista Home Basic. Recently Ive had some problems with spyware. Deal Assitant, Virtumonde, Green AV to list a few. With some registry cleaners, multiple spy protection programs, avast/spybot/norton, I basically had everything cleaned up. Now though this is the problem:
On Start Up, Windows Explorer Freezes completely, restarts, then after that…Folders, User Data Folders, my computer folders,etc.. and also Internet Explorer Seems to be alright navgating. But something as simple as a notepad document will not open. Task Manager comesup with error message. Programs and actual files open, but only after minutes of lag time, and again just a few programs/files open may lead to freeze. Ive Checked Registries, Ran Anti-Spyware, and from what i can see everything is clean. I dont know why Im still having a problem. Please Help me with this. Thank You. Also, Note, under safe mode without networking, seems to run alot better. Any help with this will greatly be appreciated.

Registry problems cause pc slow down.
Registry Cleaner can fix your pc errors.
Clean windows registry can speed up the computer.
Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software’s, install new devices,
download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system.
This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched.
Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC.
Clean registry make pc faster.
http://tp5pro.com/WhyIsMyComputerSlow.htm
Most computers actually run slow because of a hidden part of your system, which is constantly being used by Windows. This part of your PC is called the "registry" and is the central database for Windows, which stores everything from your latest emails to your desktop wallpaper. It’s one of the most important parts of Windows and can easily make your PC run slow. The more corrupt registry files your computer has, the more it struggles to read them. The files which makes it run slower and slower. To fix this, you simply need to use a registry cleaner http://make-computer-run-smoothly.com . These are small software tools which actually work by scanning through the registry and fixing any bad files that are in there. This then allows Windows to read as many files as it wants, when it wants to.
Unfortunaetly you still have malware.
Download and run this: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
It takes a long time but it is 99.9% effective. Once you have run the program down load and run: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2004-112210-3747-99 which is a vundo removal tool.
Also scan for a root kit, Use this: http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA/downloads/
use the free trial.
Once done, reboot and see if that helps.
Good Luck
Maybe you’re not entirely clean. Even if you are, with that much crap having been on your system the damage may be irreversible without doing a complete Windows re-installation. Removing the malware doesn’t always remove the damage.
Might be corrupt file associations.
Also, download gmer and check for rootkits, some antispywares miss them.
Generally, your problems indicate corrupt reggistry though.
