You could have a virus. Try booting into safe-mode.
There are some printer spooler issues that will keep turning your computer off, and a few more. Without lots more info, it is hard to tell what is happening. In addition, if Microsoft detects any of its software that is bootlegged or registered multiple times, it will sometimes shut down your computer.
Go to technet, and see if you can maneuver through some of the questions to get closer to some help. You may have to use a second computer if yours won’t stay on long enough. The first thing I try when this happens is running Norton as a bootable disk to check for a virus, but it looks like you’ve already done that.

reinstall windows sp1 and this will reset all programs and this will Absolutely fix that problem.if you want to change any thing in the reg simply click>START then >RUN then type >regedit or you can find it in your windows hard drive in the windows folder
Get a Mac, problem solved
You could try to scan for spyware ,clean and defrag your hard drive.
A good free utility to scan for malware is Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware.Malware can slow down a PC
A good free cleaner is CCleaner.it will clean the hard drive of temp internet files, etc. It will also clear out broken, useless registry files. A plugged up PC will slow down
Another good free utility to defrag your hard drive is Smart Defrag.Change setting to Deep Optimize and run it.Fragmented files slow a PC
Both the cleaner and defrag are included in your OS programs and are found by going to Start, then to All Programs, then to Accessories, then to System Tools. You could use these however, the ones that I mentioned are more thorough.
I don’t know what type of security suite you’re running but these paid app just don’t pick up and remove everything so that’s why I suggest getting Malwarebytes’.
You can get these software programs free at CNET at http://www.download.com and all 3 have very good reviews.
