   Sounds to me like you have malware. You can scan online for free by visiting google.com > type: onecare housecall scanner and make sure you do a full scan. You could also try to download malwarebytes that i have used in the past and works pretty well. Just remember that one may not find all the problems that you will need to visit filehippo.com and find programs you could use to scan the computer. Advise you to scan always in safe mode (reboot computer > tap F8 and then Select safe mode. If this doesnt work then let me know ill see what else i could do to help you out.

   honest to god, this same exact thing happened to me just now. I thought I wrote this question. My computer froze for a second and then reverted to classic.

   I dont think its a virus, but maybe? My computer is FLOODED with documents in my documents folder and desktop and I think this is somehow causing a problem.

   To really fix it, your best bet is a reformat. Save your data, reformat and your computer will be fresh like new
