   Spyware! Adware!

   Go download Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta. Go download Adaware from Lavasoft. Make sure your virus protection is up to date and if you don’t have any go download aVast.

   Install each of these programs, do not scan the system at that time. When aVast installs it ask to do a boot time check, say yes. Do not reboot just yet. Open Control Panel, Add Remove Programs. Look for Winfixer and remove it. While there look for other apps like Weathercast, Gator, ShopNow etc and remove them.

   Reboot and let aVast run. Next after it has ran and Windows is fully loaded you should have a MS Beta Spyware in the bottom right (a bullseye icon), double click it I think will launch it. Have it setup and run a scan and remove anything it finds. Launch Adaware, set it up thru the prompts and update it, no scan just yet. Reboot.

   As soon as the system reboots hit F8 before Windows loads. Go into Safe Mode, once in Windows run Adware full scan, remove anything it finds, reboot.

   You should not be pretty clean. Anything left over should fire off an alert in MS Antispyware.

   Sounds like you’ve got some spyware. Try something like Ad-aware to get rid of it.
