I have performed a clean install of Windows XP multiple times booting from a CD; however I seem to be experiencing difficults booting from our Dell Demension 8100. The keyboard works, as I am able to use it to load both the BIOS and Boot Choice Menu. I am also able to select the device to boot too. Once the device is selected, the message "Press Any Key" appears, I have tried pressing just single keys and also jamming as many keys as possible on the keyboard. However, no combinations appear to work. I am using a USB keyboard which appears to work fine during the boot sequence. Any help is appreciated.

I have also allowed it follow the boot order set in the BIOS. The "Press Any Key" is displayed and pressing single keys and/or combinations does not appear to work.

Thanks in advance.

I set it on the disk clean up and two bars show up like it’s in the process, I’ve let it run over night and it never moves sometimes it even slows or freezes the pc up, why is it doing this and how can I get it to do the clean up?

I have no disks and the buyer probably has tons. He works for a computer department for the military.

What folders other than photos, documents should I delete? Like if I applied for anything anywhere my credit card number and such would be on, where would I look to delete?

My system got corrupted and I had to re-install Windows XP. I made a back up, and formatted the entire disk.

I can get to the point where files are copied to the destination file, and it would re-boot.

However instead of launching a Windows GUI environment, performing the next operation and Setup Wizard coming on to Regional and Language operations, I go right back to Welcome to Setup.

I tried it many times and it seems to just loops in the same cycle over and over.

Can anyone help me?

I have the windows media centre edition CD sp2, (i think 2005) And my computer is really messed up I can’t even use stuff in the controll panel.
I have a working version of XP on the computer, and the CD. Will the fresh install be free? Or will I have to buy a new CD?
And How long will the install take? I’ve got a p4 3ghz, 1 gig ram, gotta formatt whole 200 gig hdd and setup 4 users.

Thank You very much! My computer is almost about to crash and I don’t want that to happen. (i’ve considered linux, but its not my computer)
