My computer is totally wacked. I turn it on and it says that there’s something wrong with the BIOS (I have no idea what that is) and to hit F2 to contine and I do but then something goes wrong and I get a blue screen so I restart my computer with the power button and it brings up the screen about the BIOS when it restarts but as its trying to do the next thing I hit F8 and then I choose to start windows normally and then my computer goes on. Once my computer is on its restarts randomly and is soslow. Also online, I can’t go to hardly any websites without this "Certificate error" thing. As far as virus protection I had Windows firewall and AVG (the free one) and this other lavasoft spyware thing. Well I ordered virus protection from Verizon but it wont download. It says to check my internet connection – which I’m pretty sure is fine. So, obviously there’s something wrong with my computer and so I download hijackthis. If someone could help me out I really appreciate it:

So I press F2 and the computer tries to do something but then I get a blue screen, so I turn my computer off with the power button and the next time after I hit F2 I hit F8 for advanced startup options and select start my computer normaly and then I can get on.

Also, when I start my computer, I get this anoying thing that pop-ups and says a key component wtk kernel is missing. The computer is also extremely sluggish and randomly shuts down. The time and date is also wrong and sometimes the screen randomly doesn’t turn on for a period of time, so I replaced the Cr2032 battery because I though there was something wrong with the BIOS, which I got a message before saying there was. I also put the BIOS settings back to the Default settings (and saved them) but it didn’t do anything.

Also, I orderd this virus protection from Verizon but it won’t download because theres an IE error. Speaking of which, I keep getting these certificate errors for almost every page I go on online. I also download hiijack this heres my log file if it helps…

Oh yeah one more thing… I tried to do a system recovery because my computer is inpossible and I don’t have that many files on it and I don’t mind formatting the drive, but then I got this message:
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The REgistry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\Ststem32\config\SECURITY
or its log or alternate
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable

So, I am totally stuck, I just want a working computer. Someone please help me… All these problems just recently started. Its always been kinda sluggish though. Please help…

Have Blue Screen of Death – olecli32.dll corrupt. Desktop will not boot – get the blue screen even in when trying to use Safe Mode. I get advice from people to run registry fixing software but how do I get the software to the dead computer and how do I run it once I get it there? I have another desktop I could use.

can anyone figure out what it is I need to remove? I’m not an expert with these things, so any help would be great.

I have a Dell Lattitude 620 with 2 GB RAM, Windows XP SP2. I find that it hangs / freezes during use all of a sudden. mouse, keyboard nothing works. I have no choice to boot it again.

I have tried to look at the Event Log Applications, System, etc. Do not find any entry that would help me identify the problem.

Would like to know how best I can go about identifying the problem. Is it some software? Is it hardware issue?

I had done a diagnostic boot some time back and found DST error and replaced the hard-disc. Defragged it too. This too has not solved the problem.

Will appreciate ideas from you.
