I’m curious to know if Windows Vista (Home Premium) has a registry cleaner somewhere on it. I’ve been looking for a free one online, but all I find are Registry cleaners that claim to be free, scan my computer, then say that I must reigster them before they fix any issues with my computer.
Any help would be appreciated, either a Vista registry cleaner or one that actually IS free.
Thanks for the help = )

Yes, Microsoft has a free safety scan that among the other things it will do is repair registry errors. It’s called Windows Live One Care. I usually let it run the full scan when I go to bed because it takes a while, it’s very thorough. I believe the Tune Up scan is the registry cleaner.

Cleaning a registery always messes things up. I have had them delete uninstall parts of all my programs, and that was cc cleaner.
If you download a real one be careful!
The ones that want you to pay have infected your computer, so you need to take care of that immediately. Run this:

As far as truly free and good registry cleaners, there is CCleaner and Advanced System Care.
